Candelight Vigil, Weekend of Prayer and Action for Darfur
 Sunday, December 10, 2006

My Sister's Keeper participated in an interfaith candlelight vigil sponsored by the Massachusetts Coalition to Save Darfur. WBZ-TV, The Boston Globe and WHDH TV covered the event in Copley Square, Boston, attended by about 400 people who heard a broad range of speakers: Mayor Thomas Menino, our very own Gloria White-Hammond, Panther Alier, Bec Hamilton, Reverend Pamela Foster of Trinity Church, Rabbi Carey Brown of Temple Isaiah, Bavdeli Gregory Haroutunian of the First Armenian Church of Belmont, and Bishop Gilbert Thompson of the Jubilee Christian Church. Our friends at the Berklee College of Music, Farah Siraj and Joe Jaworski, performed Farah's amazing song entitled "To the Sudanese Women."
